Emotional Intelligence is the ability of an individual to be aware of one’s own feelings and emotions, and understands the impact of the same on others surrounding him. A person with a good EQ is able to be self and socially aware and thereby able to manage self and other relationships built around them. Being Emotionally Intelligent is an unceasing asset of a leader in corporate culture. For the person is able to rheostat their emotional mind set in a way that it doesn’t hinder the work and social part of their indulgence.

A person with a high Intelligent Quotient – IQ is indubitably an asset for their organisation. But if the same individual is incapable of manipulating his/her Emotional Intelligence – EQ, then there is no reverence given to the IQ as well. For a bad temper and demeanour doesn’t take anybody very far in their social and professional lineage.
